Dr. Danielle Scott is a Resident Veterinarian in Preventive Medicine at Colorado State University, concurrently pursuing a PhD in Epidemiology. Her primary focus lies at the intersection of climate change and animal health. In her doctoral research, she investigates the health effects of environmental contamination, specifically examining the impact of air pollution on animal populations. Through her residency, Dr. Scott addresses the environmental implications of delivering veterinary care by identifying mitigation strategies and promoting sustainable initiatives within clinical practice. Her approach incorporates a strong emphasis on delivering equitable and accessible veterinary care. Dr. Scott graduated with her DVM degree from CSU in 2022 and she holds a Master’s in Environmental Science and Management from UC Santa Barbara (2012).
