Professional Bio
I am an evolutionary biologist primarily interested in the origin, evolution, and adaptation processes of parasitic organisms. I examine the ecological and genetic factors that influence genetic diversity and differentiation of parasite populations and infection dynamics in different environments, within the context of biogeography, genetic adaptation, and host-parasite relationships. I address these questions with a combination of field and lab work, utilizing various approaches including molecular analyses, population genetics, epidemiological studies, and phylogeography.
I completed my Ph.D. in France and my first postdoc in the Czech Republic. Currently, I am a core scientist at the University of Edinburgh
