Professional Bio

Kenneth Malatji is a dedicated professional with a passion for both academia and animal welfare. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Production Animal studies with University of Pretoria, I am deeply engaged in research aimed at Describing the trade network of livestock farmers in the FMD Protection Zone of Limpopo Province, which will be useful for the development of a strategic surveillance system within the livestock movement network. My academic journey is fueled by a desire to contribute innovative solutions to a eradication of Foot and mouth disease outbreaks in South Africa and neighboring countries. Kenneth Malatji holds a vital role as an animal health technician working for a pharmaceutical company called Afrivet which is recently bought by Bimeda, where I apply my knowledge and expertise to ensure the well-being of animals under my care. Kenneth brings a unique blend of theoretical understanding and practical experience to their work, leveraging insights gained from their Ph.D. studies to inform their decisions in the field. They are committed to advancing both scientific knowledge and animal welfare practices, striving to make meaningful contributions to both academia and the veterinary community.
