Matteo Mazzucato works as GIS specialist at the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe), a public veterinary Institute which conducts prevention, control and research activities on animal health and welfare, food safety, and environmental protection in Italy. Since 2007 he has been working with GIS technologies, mainly focusing on geodatabase management, webGIS development and digital map production in the veterinary field. He previously worked on projects related to several diseases such as Avian Influenza, West Nile, Rabies and Salmonella. In the last few years, he approached the environmental data derived from satellite sensors and stations, applying remote sensing and GIS analyses on the raster data. Thanks to several international projects, he has the opportunity to collaborate in capacity building and training activities.
