Professional Bio
I have been working as a veterinarian since 2012. I have dedicated most of my career working as a researcher at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Poznan University of Life Sciences (Poland) in parallel with my duties of an official veterinarian in poultry abattoirs. My doctoral thesis was entitled “Resistance of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella spp. strains isolated from broiler chickens to colistin and other antimicrobial chemotherapeutic agents considering the public health aspect”. I am currently employed as a postdoctoral researcher at Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The main research project (VetInspector project) is relevant to automated post-mortem inspection of poultry carcasses in abattoirs by utilizing computer vision systems. VetInspector aims to develop harmonized codes used in post-mortem inspection of broiler carcasses in Europe, and to evaluate the performance of external and internal stations in the abattoir and economical aspects of the implementation of computer vision systems.
