Dr. Robert Sanson, BVSc, PhD, MANZCVS Robert is a veterinary epidemiologist with 36 years of experience, in New Zealand and internationally. Robert is proficient in the communication of science and has published numerous peer reviewed papers in prestigious international journals, and was on the editorial board of the New Zealand Veterinary Journal from 2004-2023. His skills include geographic information systems and spatial analysis, developing decision support systems for managing outbreaks of foreign animal diseases and pests, and disease and pest modelling. He has provided advice to international organisations including the FAO and OIE / WOAH and has provided biosecurity and modelling assistance to several countries, including the USA, the UK and Canada.
