Salome Dürr

Professional Bio

Salome Dürr is associated professor at the University of Bern, Switzerland. She is a veterinary epidemiologist with a diploma from the European College of Veterinary Public Health. She has 20 years of research experience in the field of zoonoses epidemiology, application and theories of One Health, and infectious disease modelling. She has research experience in Switzerland, Chad, Uganda, Indonesia, India and Australia. Salome is particularly interested the use of the One Health approach to tackle zoonotic diseases, and to invest into research in that direction. Salome has a strong focus on applying sound research, and at the same time generating research outcomes that can directly be used by authorities for disease surveillance and control.
