Giovanna Ciaravino is a dedicated epidemiologist and veterinarian with extensive experience in public health and disease surveillance. After having obtained her PhD from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2018, Giovanna has been involved in multiple national and international projects, actively contributing to the field of epidemiology. In the past, Giovanna also held previous roles as a Consultant Epidemiologist at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), where she provided scientific support for the production of reports on food- and waterborne diseases as well as vaccine preventable diseases. Prior to her work at the ECDC, they completed a prestigious EPIET fellowship and gained practical experience as a DVM Epidemiologist. With a strong educational background, including specialized degrees from Università di Bologna and Università degli Studi di Padova, Giovanna continues to make impactful contributions to the field of public health and epidemiology.
