Isnaniah Bagenda is a veterinarian and head of the Animal Health Center for Agriculture and Food Department of Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. She leads animal disease control and prevention in the local area. Her daily duties in animal health services provide the opportunity for a lot of social interaction with farmers and stakeholders who will support the government programs she works on.
She has led her team in controlling infectious animal diseases for the last 8 years such as Anthrax, Brucellosis, HPAI, Rabies, Hoq Cholera, ASF, FMD
To support her capacity as a government veterinarian, she learned many things including attending a short course from the Netherland Fellowship Program (NFP) in 2016 at Wageningen University, and in 2022-2023 she participated as a fellow in the APCOVE (Asia Pacific Consortium Veterinary Epidemiology) Training program hosted by University of Sydney.
