Janice graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016, and immediately joined the US Army Veterinary Corps and was stationed at Fort Hood Texas for 5 years. She left the Army and moved to a small private practice in rural Virginia where she practiced for 2 years before joining the epidemiology research program at Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.
