Professional Bio

Jinnat obtained her MSc (Veterinary Epidemiology) and DVM from Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Bangladesh. Currently she is doing PhD in Epidemiology in the Uni of QLD, Australia. Her PhD research is aimed at assessing poultry traders’ movement patterns and practices, and identifying how these patterns influence the occurrence of zoonotic disease like avian influenza in Bangladesh. She has 4.6 years of research experience through working with the USAID funded projects implemented through EcoHealth Alliance, based at the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
