Professional Bio
Dr. Makoto Ukita has been working on the epidemiology of animal diseases and zoonoses. She experienced two years of volunteer service in Senegal and then studied for her PhD at Rakuno Gakuen University in Japan. Since 2024, she has been involved in the project in Morogoro Region, Tanzania for five years, targeting at brucellosis and zoonotic tuberculosis.
