Dr. Matthias Greiner is head of the Department of Exposure at the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) and professor in quantitative risk assessment and exposure modelling at the University of Veterinary Medicine, Foundation in Hannover, Germany. He has a scientific background in veterinary public health (Dipl ECVPH). From 2002 to 2005, he headed the International EpiLab at the Danish Institute of Food and Veterinary Research. Matthias Greiner is a veterinarian, statistician, epidemiologist and author of scientific papers in the fields of validation of diagnostic tests, risk modelling and epidemiology. He has served on a committee and various working groups of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
