Professional Bio
Michaela Gilbert is a Master of Philosophy in Applied Epidemiology scholar at the Australian National University – Australia’s internationally-recognised field epidemiology training program. As part of her studies, she currently works at the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry across the Epidemiology and One Health teams. Prior to commencing her current studies, Michaela worked in the public health sector in data analysis and disease surveillance. Michaela aims to use her experience in animal health and public health to promote the importance of a One Health approach to disease preparedness and response. She holds a BSc/BA and a MIPH from the University of Sydney, Australia.
