Professional Bio
Parimala Mohanty is a public health researcher with a Ph.D. in Community Medicine, whose research focuses on One Health, infectious diseases, gender, and geriatric issues. Her professional experience includes extensive research on dietary patterns and health status in older populations and served as a consultant for WHO SEARO, synthesizing data on COVID-19. Currently, she is working as a postdoctoral fellow (project manager) for the DBT Wellcome Trust India Alliance Project at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), focusing on eradicating dog-mediated rabies in India using a comprehensive One Health approach.
