Sarsenbay Abdrakhmanov - Professor of the Department of Veterinary Sanitation of the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agro-Technical Research University (Kazakhstan, https://kazatu.edu.kz/). He is a veterinary epidemiologist-virologist with experience in the development and application of vaccines, the application of analytical epidemiological methods, spatial epidemiology and simulation modeling. Sarsenbay has more than 30 years of experience conducting research on infectious diseases including Aujeszky's disease viruses, Classical swine fever, Foot-and-mouth disease and Rabies in Kazakhstan. He graduated from the veterinary department of the aforementioned university and served as head of the department for 15 years, and Dean of the faculty of veterinary medicine for 5 years. He studied at the graduate school at the Research Institute of Biological Safety Problems (RIBSP, Kazakhstan https://biosafety.kz/).
