Professional Bio

Sith Premashthira, D.V.M., M. Sc., Ph.D., is a veterinarian affiliated with the Bureau of Disease Control and Veterinary Services within the Department of Livestock Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Thailand. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Epidemiology from Colorado State University, USA, his dissertation focused on quantitative spatial analysis and epidemiological simulation modeling for foot-and-mouth disease control. With a Master of Science in Tropical Medicine from Mahidol University, Thailand, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Sith possesses a diverse educational background. Currently serving as a Veterinarian at the senior professional level, he also manages the Regional Field Epidemiology Training Programme for Veterinarians, contributes as an ASEAN Veterinary Epidemiology Group Member for Thailand, and serves as the National Coordinator for OIE Sub-commission for Foot and Mouth Disease Control in Southeast Asia and China.
