Professional Bio
I am a dairy veterinarian and Assistant Professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine, at Michigan State University. I have research, extension, and research responsibilities. My main research focus is on generating solutions for guiding producers and advisors in developing effective management strategies to optimize animal health, enhance milk quality, and improve the overall profitability and sustainability of dairy farms. More recently, I have been working specifically on the integration of sensor data and economic analysis within milk quality.
I hold a veterinary medical degree with a specialization in cattle production medicine. I have worked in the dairy industry in Uruguay and New Zealand; and completed a PhD in veterinary epidemiology at the University of Minnesota before joining Michigan State University.
